When Emily Wendler first moved to Missoula she drove through downtown thinking, “I wonder where downtown is.” The size, abnormal peace, and friendliness of this place bothered her at first after coming from a city like Cincinnati, Ohio where its unsafe to eat fish out of the river, and riots aren’t uncommon. But now, in her second year of graduate school, Emily wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. She thinks this place is an enchanted playground, and is stoked to invade community events looking for stories, turn them magically into radio waves, and pump them into your ear drums. Yeah!
